Dip your donuts in a colorful glaze and they’ll be the hit of the Halloween party. After dunking, decorate them with eyeballs, spiders, and Halloween-colored sprinkles. Get the kids and grandkids involved on this idea!

Halloween Donuts
Prep: 5 minutes
Makes 1 cup of glaze
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp milk or cream
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- food coloring optional
METHOD
- Place powdered sugar, vanilla extract and milk in a bowl.
- Stir until combined and smooth. A nice glazing consistency.
- If it’s too thick add a small amount of additional milk. If it’s too runny add some additional powdered sugar.
- Add desired food coloring. If using liquid food coloring, this will add additional liquid and make the glaze runnier. If needed, thicken with powdered sugar.
Tips & Notes
- Leigh Anne prefers to use gel food coloring over liquid food coloring. You will get brighter, more vivid colors with the gel and it doesn’t add additional liquid to your glaze. If using liquid food coloring you may need some additional powdered sugar.
- For black frosting you can use black food coloring or add coco powder to your frosting for a darker color (it will be dark brown, not black)
